Lyme, NH-Verla P. Dimick, 89 , of Lyme Road died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH. She was born May 23, 1926 in Lyme Center, NH the daughter of Forrest and Charlotte (Webb) Perkins. She attended Lyme schools and was a 1944 graduate of Hanover High School. Mrs. Dimick began her working career as a telephone operator for New England Telephone Company in 1944. On January 20, 1945, she married Kenneth C. Dimick in Lyme, NH. Mr. Dimick died in 1991. After their marriage, the couple operated a dairy farm in Lyme Center and Mrs. Dimick was also employed at the Hanover Inn as a switchboard operator. In recent years, she had been employed at Kleen Drycleaners at the Main Street and Allen Street locations in Hanover. Her memberships include the Order of the Eastern Star in Orford, the Lyme Congregational Church, and the Lyme Center Baptist Church. She has been a member of the Morningstar Grange #62 in Lyme since 1943. Survivors include one son, Gary Dimick of Orford, NH; two grandson, Mark Dimick of Lebanon, PA; and Nathaniel Dimick of Orford, NH.; daughter-in-Law Roberta Dimick of Gap, PA and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Rev. Greg Dimick. Funeral services will be held in the spring in Highland Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
