Gloria Evelyn Henry

Corinth VT-Gloria Evelyn Henry, 85 passed away Monday Dec 5,2022 peacefully in Gardner MA. Floria was born October 7,1937 she was the daughter of Pearly and Hazel (Lezer) Tracey and grew up in Cookville VT. Gloria married Forrest Henry Sr June 7,1958 and they made their home in East Corinth VT.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her brother Richard Tracey and her sister Janice Paronto. Her husband passed away in 2008. Gloria also lost her son Steven Vermette in 2010 and her granddaughter Vanessa Vermette in 2020.

Gloria is survived by her son Forrest L Henry Jr and wife Terri L Henry f Norwich VT. Grandchildren Tracy L Nadeau and husband John Nadeau of Canaan NH, Christopher F Henry and wife Crystal J Henry of Corinth VT, Kara M Carrara and husband Jason Carrara of Chester VT. Great grandchildren Colby Marsh and fiance Alexis Wells of West Lebanon Nh, Carter and Addison Nadeau of Canaan NH, Rose and Clara Henry of Corinth VT and Landynn and Adrianna Carrara of Chester VT.

Her son Bruce P Henry and wife Leslie Gould Henry of Piermont NH and their children Carmen Henry of Concord NH, Morgan Henry and her fiancé Carl Hall of Quechee VT, and Tiffany Henry of Piermont NH.

Her daughter Stephanie L Pregent of Fairlee VT and her partner Candi Hutchinson. Granddaughter Stacy L Pregent and her partner Caleb Potwin of Bradford VT. A grandson Trevor L Pregent and his partner Molly Darisse great grandson Henry L Pregent of Fairlee VT. Gloria also has a step grandson Matthew Asiaf of Windsor VT.

Her son Douglas Henry of North Haverhill NH and his partner Christine Pallmucci. Grandson Michael Henry and his wife Tara (Mayhew) of South Burlington VT. Granddaughter Amanda Vermette and great grandchildren Cora L Clutier and Christian Clutier of Maine.

Grandson Brandon Vermette and partner Maria Osmond and their children Ayanna Vermette, Jeremiah Vermette and Isaiah Vermette of Maine.

Her son Shawn Henry of Hillsborough NH. His children Aden, Akennah and Annekah of Hillsborough NH and a grandson Andrew Chase of Bow NH.

Gloria also leaves behind many close friends including Kathy Henry, Pat Turner and Melissa Robichaud Chase.

Gloria was employed by Maplewood Hotel, Bonnie Oaks Hotel, DHMC in dietary, Kendall Of Hanover, was a private nanny for the Copeland family and was a private caregiver for many of the elderly before her health took a turn and she could no longer take care of others.

Gloria loved owls and the color yellow. She enjoyed knitting homemade slippers for her grandchildren and dish cloths for loved ones. She also enjoyed making pickles (famous amber pickles) and donuts. She loved her family with all her heart and took pride in making sure they were all happy.

Gloria was one of the kindest, sweetest, caring and strongest ladies I have ever met. She successfully raised six children (5 boys and 1 girl) all of which are successful with raising their own families.

Visitation will be Thursday December 15,2022 from 5-8 at Hale Funeral Homes 187 Upper Plain Bradford VT 05033. Graveside service will be held in the spring.
