Laurie Annette (Smith) Williams, 53, of Powder Spring Road passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the home of her best friend Dawn.
Born on August 6, 1963 in Barre, VT, she was the daughter of Alvah and Betty (Spooner) Smith.
With her parents and six siblings, she lived and grew up in Topsham, VT. Growing up, she enjoyed going to bingo, going to the races at Thunder Road and spending time with her family. She was an avid animal lover and especially loved the company of her beagles-Tiny, Aspen, and Ronnie and Chihaua, Missy Do. She was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves-especially Chipper Jones , which she enjoyed to watch with her daughter Erica. She enjoyed playing Super Mario 3 with her son, Wade, Jr. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she talked about them everyday.
She is survived by her daughter Erica Johnson and her son Wade Johnson, Jr., and wife Christy all of Groton, VT; two sisters Darlene Chicoine and husband Roland of Millis, MA and Beverly Ordway and husband Bruce of West Topsham; four brothers Michael Smith of Groton, VT, Dale Smith of Elmore, VT, Brian Smith and Jay Smith both of West Topsham, VT; five grandchildren: Patty, Austin, Cameron, James, and Brady as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved mother Betty and her father, Alvah and her three beagles Tiny, Aspen, and Ronnie.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Groton Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Hale Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to defray final expenses.
