Adrian " Skip" Randall Craven
March 13, 1935 - July 19, 2014
Born on March 13, 1935 in Middletown, Ct, he was the son of Harry and Florence (Langley) Craven. Skip attended primary school at St. Charles Academy in Winsocket, RI and then went on to further schooling in Andover, MA. By trade, Skip was a master sheetmetal mechanic specializing in heating and air conditioning. His career in commercial construction took him to large projects on the New York City Skyline, GM Factory in Michigan, and Millstone 2 Nuclear Power Plant in CT. He deservidy took great pride in his craft, maintaining the highest quality standards at work and at home. He was a dedicated member of Sheetmetal Workers Local # 40, Hartford, CT. He was well read and loved to debate politics. Retiring in 1992, he settled in Corinth, Vermont. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois (Moran) Craven, four children: James Craven of Flagstaff, AZ, Linda Zaleta of Bridgewater, CT, Wendy DeRusha of Bradford, VT, and Matthew Craven of Keene, NH; and ten grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, July 23 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Upper Plain, Bradford, VT. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at East Corinth New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday, July 22 at Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT.
