Brian Martin

Newbury, VT- Brian Martin, 63, died suddenly at home on Jan. 29, 2015. His wife and son were present at the time. Brian was born in Springfield, Vt. on Nov 4, 1951. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. He then attended Paul Smiths College for 2 years. He received an Associate's degree in Applied Sciences in Forestry. He was married to Barbara Titus on September 28, 1985. He worked at Skyline Nursery in Springfield for many years. He then worked for a builder for 2 years until his health prevented it. He then decided to start designing and building the house with Barbara Brian was a Bee Keeper and a avid deer hunter. He also liked to hunt rabbits with his dogs and he liked to fish for brook trout. He also liked to be around kids. Brian is predeceased by his parents Alice and Roger Martin. He is survived by his wife Barbara Martin and his son Thai Martin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11 am in the West Newbury Congregational Church in West Newbury, VT with Rev. Cynthia Batten officiating. Visiting hours will be Friday evening from 5-7 pm at Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT. Burial will be held in the spring in the family lot in Springfield, VT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 in his name.
