Jeremy R. Godfrey

September 4, 1972 - October 5, 2019

Jeremy "Stub" Godfrey of Orford, NH, passed away on October 5th, 2019, at the age of 47, after a four year courageous battle with cancer that he never let change him. He always lived life to the fullest.He is survived by his mother, Jayne Baker, of Orford; his father, Robert Godfrey and his wife Rosanna Kerin, of Enfield; his sister, Roxanne Eastman and her husband Danny, of Thetford; his brother, Ben Godfrey, of Thetford; 4 nephews; and several close aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and good friends.Some of his favorite things in life were his family, his best friend, Tim Hoisington of Orford, hunting, fishing, auctioneering, his cookie monster pajama pants, and his black crocs. He was highly skilled at cursing and liked four-letter words, just about as much as his LTD.He was employed on the grounds crew at Dartmouth College for many years.A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mary Ann Koch, Autumn Thurston, and the others at Bayada Hospice who provided excellent care to him and his family at the end.Graveside services will be on Oct. 19th at 12:00 p.m. at the Post Mills Cemetery in Post Mills, followed by a celebration of his life at the Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill in Chelsea from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., for a mandatory shot and a beer, in a final toast in his honor.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Vermont Bear Hound Association, 558 Peach Brook Road, Newbury, VT 05051 or to Bayada Hospice, 316 Main Street, Unit EH-6, Norwich, VT 05055.
