Larry Charles Chamberlin

Holland, VT- Larry Charles Chamberlin, 76, of Bates Hill Road died Monday May, 26, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born on September 12, 1937 the son of Gordon and Doris (Allyn)Chamberlin. The family moved to Thetford, VT in 1945 and he graduated from Thetford Academy in 1955. Larry entered the United States Army in 1956 and was a Helicopter Mechanic until his honorable discharge in 1959, after the Army he moved to Sacramento, CA and worked as a car mechanic until 1966, then moving back to Thetford, VT and worked for twenty-two years at Split Ball Bearing in West Lebanon, NH as a machinist and tool maker retiring in 1988. He also built three homes in East Thetford, VT. Larry enjoyed traveling to Nevada, Arizona and Florida before setting in Holland, VT in 1990. He also enjoyed refurbishing old tractors. He is survived by two sons, Roger Chamberlin of Grantham, NH and Bruce Chamberlin of Rochester, NH; one daughter, Becky Chamberlin of Concord, NH; one step-daughter, Pam Eastman of Strafford, VT. his former wife, Ursula Chamberlin of White River Jct., VT.; four grandchildren, Lisa Potter, Michael Chamberlin, Mathew Chamberlin and Ashley Follensbee and two great-grandchildren, Serenity Allard and Clair Potter. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Richard Chamberlin. A private graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014.
