Laura Nina James

Bradford, VT- Laura N. James passed away January 21, 2011 at the age of 68 She was born on October 12, 1942 in Newbury, VT the daughter of Carroll and Katherine (Johnson) Picknell. She loved being outdoors working in her flower garden and sitting watching the birds come to the feeders. She looked forward to her bingo games every week and was a member of the Methodist church in Bradford. She worked at Hanover Inn for 20 yrs before retiring. Laura had the kindest of hearts and was always helping people when she could. She was predeceased by her mother Katherine Rathburn and step-father Delbert Rathburn, and a brother, Forrest Picknell. She is survived by her husband of 46 yrs. Delbert James and her sister Sylvia Sleeper as well as nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held on February 7, 2011 at 1 pm in the Grace United Methodist Church in Bradford, VT. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at a later date Donations can be made in Laura's to the Methodist Church. The Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT is in charge of arrangements.
