Bradford, VT-Marvin W. Taylor, Sr. age 72, of Bradford, VT passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 in St. Johnsbury after a long illness, surrounded by his family. Marvin was born in Parsonsfield, Maine on September 27, 1940, the son of Richard Taylor and Verna (Bodge) Wilkins. Marvin married Carole Pollender in Center Ossipee, NH on March 23, 1963 and recently celebrated their golden anniversary. He served in the U.S. Army with overseas duties in France, Germany and the Vietnam War. Marvin worked for the State of Vermont Agency of Transportation for thirty-one years. Marvin was an avid hunter, fisherman and card player. He loved family gatherings. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carole, daughters Yvette and Tammy, sons, Marvin (Bill) Jr and Robert (Bob) as well as Christina Welch, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at Hale's Funeral Home in Bradford on Friday, September 6th at 1:00 P.M. followed with a celebration of his life at the Bradford Fairgrounds.
