    Norman Wayne Gadwah

    January 8, 1922 - June 10, 2012

    WEST TOPSHAM, VT - Norman Wayne Gadwah, 90, beloved husband of Clarice (Germain) Gadwah, passed away Sunday June 10, 2012. He was born in Colebrook, NH on January 8, 1922 and son to the late Victor and Jessie (Henson) Gadwah. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion for 65 years. He was also a member of The Riverside Grange 455. He was active in the community in founding and hosting the annual "Let's Go Fishing" derby in West Topsham for many years. His favorite hobby was being a fly fishing instructor. He began hosting cribbage competitions at The Riverside Grange that carried on for several years. His passion was anything in nature, i.e. fly fishing, hunting, gardening and hiking. He loved to woodcraft and make beautiful furniture. He was a good-natured gentleman who often stopped to help strangers and friends alike. He leaves his four children, Wayne Gadwah of Bogalusa, LA, Leo Gadwah and his wife Corinne of Corinth, VT, Donna (Gadwah) Trooskin and her husband Donald of Bogalusa, LA and Sylvia (Gadwah) Marks and her husband Joe of Higganum, CT; he leaves his siblings Glendon Gadwah of Boscawen, NH, Victor Gadwah, Jr. of Meriden, CT and Esther (Gadwah) Huntley of Meriden, CT; his grandchildren, Dulcy, Wayne, Adele, Annemarie, John, Shirley, Wendy, Kristyn, Joslyn, Jennifer, DeWayne, Jason, Theresa and Calvin; along with his great grandchildren, Joshua, Crystal, Ashley, Catria, Caelan, Shay, Jacob, Christopher, Angelina, Westley, Lilly, and Arden; and his great great grandchildren Carley, Hailey, Isaac, and Rosalee. He was preceded in death by his siblings Mervyn, Leonard, Clement, Vern and Hilda. His family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2012, 6-8pm at Hale Funeral Homes, 187 Upper Plain (Route 5), Bradford, VT. A Mass of Christian faith will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 113 Upper Plain (Route5), Bradford, VT. The funeral is immediately thereafter at the West Topsham Cemetery. The Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT is in charge of arrangements.
