Topsham: Wendy Goodwin Hodge passed away peacefully at Central Vermont Medical Center Hospital of March 15, 2022. Wendy was the daughter of Mary (Covey) Carr and Harold Goodwin Jr. She was born in Nashua NH on September 11, 1949. Wendy’s family moved to Lebanon NH when she was nine. She attended Lebanon Grade School, graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1967 and attended Plymouth State College. Wendy and Paul Hodge were married on February 7, 1970. They lived in Randolph for 3 years while Paul attended VTC. Afterwards they moved to Topsham where they made their home and raised their two children Paul II and Kathryn. She cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by those of us who loved her with all our hearts. Wendy worked for Channel Mills, drove Stagecoach and worked for the United States Post Office for 24 years. Wendy was a member of the Topsham United Presbyterian Church and APWU. Wendy enjoyed camping with her family and in later years traveling with her husband which included 19 cruises with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Often on Monday and Friday night you would find Wendy and Paul and her mother-in-law Gertrude Hodge at the auction in Bradford. Wendy was an avid Red Sox baseball and Norwich University Hockey fan. Wendy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Hodge, her son, Paul Hodge II from Fishers Indiana; her daughter Kathryn Epper of York PA; Grandchildren Tyler, Aaron, Emily and Jared Hodge and Thomas Epper. Her siblings Richard Goodwin and wife Debbie: Margaret Dimmick, Genevea Preble and husband Robert, Tracy Carr and wife Dorothy, Tammy Durand and husband Jeff, Jamie Carr and companion Joanne, sister-in -law Annette (Thomas’ widow) in Australia, many nieces and nephews, one aunt, Louise deMontigny . She was predeceased by her parents Mary Carr and Harold Goodwin Jr, brothers Thomas, Harold and Gary Goodwin and a son-in-law Thomas Epper. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
