    William David Fischer

    November 24, 1973 - August 10, 2011

William "Bill" David Fischer lost his courageous battle with cancer August 10, 2011, at his home in Bradford, VT with his loving family at his side. Bill was born in Woodsville, NH, November 24, 1973. He graduated from Oxbow High School in 1991. He continued his education at the Wyoming Technical Institute, graduating in 1992. Bill found his soul mate, Jennie M. Hayward on July 25, 1992. As they grew up together, their love for each other grew stronger. On September 20, 2003, he married the love of his life of 19 years. They continued on many of lives's adventures, one being a very memorable trip to Hawaii, where Bill always wanted to return and make a home there. On May 12, 2005, they gave birth to the most joyful and important part of Bill and Jennie's life, their 6 year old son, Ashton Richard. Bill was a loving, wonderful father and included his son in everything he did. He often took him on the road with him, as Bill worked as an insurance adjuster for several years. You can't think of Bill without thinking of the black and gold "B" logo of the Boston Bruins. He was a loyal fan and never missed a game on TV. One of his enjoyments would be to get a good deal on tickets and take Jennie to see a live game in Boston. He hoped to see them win the Stanley Cup, which they did for Bill this year, and haven't since Bill was born. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, but mostly time spent with Jennie and Ashton at their camp on Seymore Lake in Morgan VT. You could always find Bill, with that memorable smile, enjoying time just hanging out with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Fischer; One son, Ashton Fischer; His mother, Lynn Fischer; One brother, Jim Fischer and family; Two sisters, Chris Slack and family; Michelle Dow and family; His grandmother, Doris LeLacheur; His father, Richard 'Dick' Fischer, predeceased him. In-Laws include Philip and Dianna Hayward and family and countless friends. Calling hours are at Hale's Funeral Home, in Bradford on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 6:000- 8:00. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Fisk's Field on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:00. Bruins attire or team colors are encouraged. Burial will take place at the families convenience. In lei of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Bill, to his son, Ashton's education fund: WRSB, c/o Patty Clark, Main Street, Bradford, VT 05033 To plant Memorial Trees in memory of William David Fischer, please click here to visit our Sympathy Store.
