Fairlee, VT- William "Bill" Fletcher, 88, peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 28th at his home. Born May 10, 1926, in South Ozone Park, Long Island he was the son of Joseph and Katherine Steinberg Fletcher. The elder of three sons, predeceased by Warren and Joseph In 1956 he married the love of his life Irene "Stranis" Fletcher who predeceased him in 2005 He is survived by his two sons Robert and Michael Fletcher, two grandchildren, Casey and Sara Fletcher and three step granddaughters and their children Bill was a lifelong commercial printer starting his own company in 1965. His hobby was model airplanes and was involved heavily in the American Model Association, AMA #456, as a contestant and as a contest director both here and abroad. Here's a quote from his autobiography "1936 - First indications of what becomes a lifelong addiction with things that flew starting with dime (10 cent) stick and tissue models, some of which we sold for 25 cents when finished." The funeral will be family only. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 7th at his home in Fairlee at 1:00 pm.
