ORFORD NH- Allan Hebb died suddenly on March 21, 2025, at DHMC. He was born on August 16,1946 to Guy and Marjorie (Aldrich) Hebb.
Allan graduated from Orford High School and then from NH Technical College in Berlin NH. After spending a short time in Manchester NH, he moved back to Orford where he lived until his death. Allan worked most of his life in the auto parts industry where he made many friends. He married his high school sweetheart Jane Pierce Hebb. He was a long-time member of Mt. Cube Lodge #10 in Orford NH. He served as a member of the Orford Fire Department for many years and was still an active member of the Orford Volunteer Fire Dept. Inc. at the time of his death.
Allan worked at Bear Ridge Speedway since its opening. He was a fixture in the pits for over fifty years. He was inducted into the first class of Bear Ridge’s Hall of Fame. Something he was very proud of. Allan enjoyed traveling to different tracks around VT and NH to watch auto racing. He could always find someone he knew wherever he went.
Allan was known as GPA and acted as pseudo grandfather to many children in the community. He loved watching many of them play sports. Those that knew Allan were aware of the many different nicknames he had for the people and places he cared most about. Allan loved going to the Fryeburg Fair every fall, beach vacations, cruising, camping and visiting with friends and family.
Allan was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Jane of 56 years. He also leaves behind three children, Jeffrey (Jess), Jennifer “JJ” (Ken) and Timothy (Tina), 5 grandchildren Dorothy “Tori” (Derek), Emily, Anna, Kylie, Cooper, and 2 great grandchildren Levi and Lincoln. Alan is also survived by an Aunt and Uncle Garnet and Sue Hebb, Brother-in-Law Charles (Sharon) Pierce and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Cube Masonic Association C/O Brenda Smith, P.O. Box 24 Orford NH 03777. Donations will be used for building improvements.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 2pm at the Orford Congregational Church, 617 NH-10 Orford NH.
