Bradford, VT- Alyce T. Ronzo passed away on August 7, 2015. She was born on July 4, 1926 and was the daughter of Robert and Eunice (Covey) Tucker.She attended the Fulton School in Newbury, VT and graduated from Bradford Academy in 1944. She graduated from Barre City Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, and served in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps in Brooklyn, NY where she met and later married her husband Joseph on August 11, 1951.Mrs. Ronzo worked at the Kingston Avenue Communicable Disease Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and was the Supervisor at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY until her retirement in 1972. She made several lifelong friends in the course of her nursing career. In 1973, she moved back to Bradford, VT along with her husband to be nearer family.Alyce enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, attending and hosting family gatherings, and working on family genealogy. She researched and completed extensive family histories for the Ronzo and Covey branches of her family. She was also an active member of the Oxbow Chapter of the DAR.Her gift of Hospitality was beyond compare and will be missed by her friends and family alike. No visit was complete without her offering up some home-baked goods or freshly picked fruit, along with an earnest entreaty to Come again when you can stay longer'She is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was also a great aunt and great-great aunt to many nieces and nephews.. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on January 15, 2001; her brother Orville in 2005 and her twin brother Alton Ray Tucker who died in childhood.Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 10 am at the Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT. There are no calling hours.
