Arlene D. Palmer

March 19, 1936 — August 26, 2014

Arlene was born March 19, 1936 in Lyme Center, NH to the late William and Della Thompson (Bryant). She attended Chesley School and Thetford Academy. Throughout her life she was a tireless caregiver to many. Arlene took great joy in living on the Palmer Jersey Farm with her late husband, Arthur and their children. She was dedicated to her family and her community, recognized for her service and loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Palmer was predeceased by her late husband, Arthur, brother, Daniel, daughter, Nancy and son, John. She is survived by her siblings, Daisy Vaughan, Elizabeth Vaughan, and Arthur Thompson. Also survived by her children, Susan Stallings, William Rose, Roger Rose, Laurie Ingalls, Kathy Young, Alan Palmer, David Palmer, Bonnie Dore, Andrew George, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00am at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in North Thetford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Vermont Food Bank, c/o Melissa Baptiewright, 33 Parker Road, Barre, VT 05641 Hale Funeral Home and Cremation care of Bradford and Thetford Center, VT is in charge of the arrangements.
