Barbara Ann Emerson

Bradford, VT- Barbara Ann Emerson, 74, of Bradford, VT died at home on December 3, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born August 20, 1938 the daughter of Urban and Emma (King) Shover. She attended schools in Topsham, VT. On November 25, 1961 she was married to Otis Emerson who survives. She was employed for many years at Channel Mills in Bradford, and then worked for Grafton County Nursing Home for twenty-two years until she retired. She enjoyed going to dances, gardening, hunting and fishing, visiting with friends and neighbors, being outdoors, cooking and spending time with her family especially her great-grandkids. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Otis Emerson and one son Orin Emerson; a granddaughter, Tonya Bean and her husband Chris, a grandson, Scott, two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Caleigh; three sisters, Ida, Doris and Irma, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1 pm in the family lot in the East Corinth New Cemetery in East Corinth, VT. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm at Hale Funeral Home, Upper Plain, Bradford, VT.
