Corinth, VT- Barbara Jean Young, 78, of Corinth died Wednesday evening October 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was born in Corinth, VT the daughter of Alton and Ruth Davis. She attended schools in Corinth and was a graduated of Bradford Academy in Bradford, VT. She was married to Burton Young Sr. who predeceased her in 2001. Barbara had worked on the family farm in Corinth for many years before working for Bradford Veneer and Panel for fifteen years and also Pomponoosuc Mills in Thetford, VT for fifteen years as well. She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and crocheting. She is survived by one son, Alton Young and his wife Melissa of Corinth, VT.; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister Virginia Osgood of Corinth, VT, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son Burton Young Jr. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11 am in the family lot in the East Corinth New Cemetery in East Corinth, VT.
