ORFORD, NH - Beulah Burns (Blair), 85, of Orford, NH passed away on March 18, 2024, following a battle with dementia.
Born September 23, 1938 during “Hurricane Beulah” she lived up to her name as a feisty, spirited, full of life woman. She attended school in Thetford and married Willard Norman Blair on October 26, 1957 and they had 7 children; Margaret, Nancy, Sally, Joe, Shirley, Charles and Norman who predeceased her in 1999.
Most of her life, Beulah dedicated her life to raising her children and taking care of many Lebanon kids with her home day care. Once her children were grown, she began working at Kleen Laundry as a machine operator and was there for 25 years until a severe case of meningitis prompted her retirement.
She loved her kids and her dogs, and getting together with family for every holiday and celebration. She was the center of her extended family, bringing four generations together in her home each Christmas, Easter, birthdays and BBQ’s at Joe and Brenda’s, spending lots of time chatting on the porch and catching up with old and new friends.
Beulah is survived by her siblings Beverly Johnson of Sterling, CT, Roland French of Vershire, VT, and Linda French of WRJ, VT and her children Margaret Blair, Nancy Blair of Claremont NH, Sally Cameron of Lyme, NH, Joe and Brenda Blair of West Fairlee, VT, Shirley Blair of Enfield, NH and Charles and Peggy Blair of Orford, NH, her grandchildren Kassandra Brown, Shannon Holmes, Erin Drury, Scott Blair, Samantha Reynolds, Sonja Blair, Candice Carley, Amber Blair, Kyle Blair, Emily Colwell and 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Erni and Agnes French, her husband Willard Blair, her second husband Ken Burns, her brother Donald French, and her son Norman Blair.
Calling hours will be at Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, VT on Tuesday, March 26 from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be at a later date with the immediate family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bayada Hospice in Norwich, VT.
Arrangements are in the care of Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain in Bradford.
