BRADFORD-Beverly Rollins 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23rd, at Valley View on Cottage Street in Bradford VT. She was born and grew up in the Coventry, Vermont area, graduating from Orleans High School in 1947 at 16. She lived in Massachusetts for a while and then came back to Vermont, settling in Newbury for much of her life. Later, she lived in Bradford, VT, Las Vegas, NV, Lebanon, NH, back in Newbury, VT, and finally Bradford again.
She held many different jobs over the years working for the police, a nursing home, electric and gas companies, Dartmouth College, Newbury Town Treasurer, and senior meals, as well as owning and running her own restaurant with her husband and family, Kenhensha Lodge. She was a 4-H leader for many years and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and West Newbury Church.
She was predeceased by her Mom, Pearl (Powers) Herrick, Dad, Alonzo Herrick, brother, James (Lillian) Herrick, sister, Laura (Alton) Cutting, a niece, Barbara Herrick, 3 nephews, Buddy Cutting, Jimmy Herrick, and Bill Herrick, son-in-law, Ken Demars, and her husband of 50 years, Charles Rollins, and 3 Rollins nephews, Billy Rollins, Tommy Towle, Bobby Rollins, and a niece, Linda Farquharson.
She is survived by her 6 children, Eva (Paul) Ciampaglia of Northfield, VT, Sarah Demars of Corinth, VT, David (Linda) Rollins of Allenstown and Stewartstown, NH, Robin (Bill) Rowell of Newbury, VT, Matthew Rollins of Lebanon, NH, and Stephen Rollins of St. George, VT. 9 grandchildren, Wendall (Terri Weston) Rollins, David Erwin, Bill (Victoria) Rowell, Gidget Rollins, Melody (Joe) Lange, Jereme Rollins, Adria Ciampaglia, Brandy (Tom) Pelletier, and Carissa (Chris Moreno) Ciampaglia. 21 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The service and burial will be held July 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at Newbury Center Town House.
In lieu of flowers for the service, flowers may be sent to the residents of Valley View at Cottage Street, 92 Cottage ST, Bradford VT in Bev's Honor or contributions can be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice for VT and NH, 88 Prospect ST, WRJ VT 05001
