Beverly June Wright

Beverly June (Boyce) Wright, age 85, died peacefully at Atkinson Residence in Newbury on March 4, 2022. Beverly was born in Boltonville, VT on May 10, 1936, to Earl and Rhubertha (Oliver) Boyce. She grew up in Newbury and graduated from Newbury High School in 1954.Beverly married Clifford Wright of Bradford on October 25, 1963. Together they raised five children. Beverly enjoyed being an at-home mom while the children were growing up and did the bookkeeping for Clifford’s plumbing and heating business. Very active in the community, Beverly was a leader for boy scouts and girl scouts, involved with the Bradford Congregational Church, the Connecticut Valley Fair, Bradford fireman’s auxiliary, American Legion auxiliary, and multiple local and state granges. Beverly was a very outgoing person who loved dancing with Cliff, participating in CB treasure hunts, and traveling. She enjoyed their summer camp on Tenney Pond and spending winters in Barefoot Bay, Florida. Bev got the most pleasure helping others and spending time with her growing family.Beverly was predeceased by her husband Cliff, her siblings Barbara Welch, George Boyce and David Boyce, a daughter Debbie Hodge (from a previous marriage) and grandchildren Ashley Wright and Sean Tillotson. Survivors include sons David, Cory and Cecil Wright and daughters Debbie Wright and Bethanne (husband Gary) Tillotson; grandchildren Jamie Sleeper, Jeremy Sleeper, Sarah Tillotson, Dan Tillotson, and Heidi (Wright) McNeill; great-grandchildren Rachael, Isaiah, Mariah, Rhianna, Sophia, Sierra, Kaylea, Kacie, Cayden, Charles, Melody and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary Lou Boyce, Susan Mann, Elsie Wright and Dot Corliss, a brother-in-law Walter Manning and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 26, at 2:30 the Bradford Fairgrounds, Lower Plains, Bradford, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to Frances Atkinson Residence, 4717 Main Street, Newbury, VT 05051 for facility improvements.
