Brandon Joseph Gurney, age 26 of Newbury passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Born on July 23, 1995, to Mark Gurney and Annette (Butler) Hood.
Brandon attended the Waits River Valley School followed by Oxbow High School and the River Bent Technical Career Center Heavy Equipment Operator Program graduating in 2013.
He had a variety of jobs from stock clerk, car washer, wood splitter to his last endeavor of truck driver.
Brandon was a great friend to many and the light and love of our lives. He would protect anyone who he saw being harassed by redirecting the harassment to himself which protected the other person and made them to feel safe. He would stand up to anyone bullying as he was small of stature but scrappy and not easy to take on. He had a fun and wonderful personality and a very big and caring heart.
Brandon loved hunting, snow shoeing, fishing, trailing/mudding, four-wheelers, motorcycles, horse riding and hanging out with his friends. He loved the outdoors. He loved riding horses that were a challenge to ride.
Brandon was preceded by his Grandfathers Allan Gurney and Wayland (Pee-Wee) Butler ad his Grandmother Eleanor Butler.
He is survived by his Grandmother Claire (Garland) Gurney, his father Mark Gurney and his wife Patti (Hague) Gurney and her daughter Ann Marie (Miles) Santolucito and her husband John. Grandmother Ann Hague, Uncle Scott Gurney, Aunt Lisa Gurney all of Newbury.
