Calvin Ronald Dyke

Orford, NH- Calvin Ronald Dyke, 73 of Orford passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 from declining health. He was born in Orford on May 21, 1940 the son of Benjamin and Dorothy (Dow) Dyke. He attended Orford High School. Calvin was married to Jane Borger Hayward and divorced after twenty-five years and never married again. He had worked for Rowe Construction and Plazzi Construction drilling and blasting for the interstates, and also had his own logging Business, after retirement he worked for Thomson Timber in Orford, NH. Calvin loved to fish on Lake Ontario and Lake Champlain, loved to go bar hopping with his son and socializing with friends, he loved going to Foxwoods at the Casino and loved his scratch tickets. He had many friends and one special friend, Stacy Thomson of Orford, NH. He is survived by one son, John Dyke and his wife Teresa of White River Jct., VT; one daughter, Kim Dyke of Orford, NH; one grandson, Brandon Dyke and one great-great grandson, Weston; granddaughters, Brittany Dyke, Sadie and Olivia Dyke, Indie and Francesa Scopetti; three sisters, Sandra Fullington of Hanover, NH., Brenda Thomson and husband David of Orford, NH and Norine Gray and husband Richard of Orford, NH. Several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held in the spring in the family lot in the Orford Street Cemetery in Orford, NH. There are no calling hours.
