Higganum, CT- Clarice Virginia Gadwah, 91, of Higganum, CT and a former long time resident of West Topsham, VT left us on August 16, 2015.She was born on March 4, 1924 in Marlboro, NH the daughter of Leo Germain and Amelia (Rivers) Germain.She attended schools in Marlboro, NH and was a graduate of Marlboro High School. She was married to Norman Gadwah in Marlboro, NH on June 19, 1943; he predeceased her on June 10, 2012 after more than 68 years of marriage. She lived in Marlboro, NH, Colebrook, NH and then there moved to Meriden, CT., until moving to West Topsham, VT in the late 70's.Clarice was a homemaker her entire life, she enjoyed baking, cooking, family gatherings, and was a longtime member of the Riverside Grange# 455 of West Topsham, VT.She is survived by two daughters, Donnalee A. Gadwah-Trooskin of Bougalusa, LA., Sylvia Gadwah Marks of Higganum, CT; two sons, Wayne Gadwah of Markus Hook, PA and Leo Gadwah of Corinth, VT; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Germain-Liscotti and Jackie Germain-Covell both of CA.She was predeceased by one brother, Roland Germain.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 11 am in Bradford, VT. Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening August 23, 2015 from 4-6 pm at Hale Funeral Home, Upper Plain, Bradford, VT.
