CLYDE G. GARDNER

“A life of laughter, smiles and good deeds. A father like you is what everyone needs.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Clyde Gardner at his home in Fairlee on Saturday April 16th after a short battle with cancer.Clyde was born in December 1941Beloved husband and best friend of the late Ina (Ames) Gardner. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Gardner-Wood and son-inlaw Jay Wood of Bradford. Sister Kelly Gardner Post Mills VT , Nephew Gary Gardner Hartland VT
His Dear Brother-inlaw Bill Ames, Sister in-laws Carolyn Martin, Audrey Sites of Warren NH and Jessie Gardner Gainsboro TN.
He was predeceased by his Parents Gail and Annie (Mann) Gardner. A brother Gordon Gardner. Clyde will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and many good friends.
With his quick wit and sense of humor, he made friends wherever he went.
He grew up in Fairlee VT. Attended Bradford Academy.
Married in 1964. “56 yrs. Life was never quite the same after she was gone! He missed her more than most people knew”
His second Love was Driving Truck!
He worked as a long distance Truck driver for 45+ yrs. For companies including Hayward Transportation, Decato Brothers and Evans Fuel Mart.
In retirement he enjoyed Summer weather, Tinkering on his many projects. Boating on the RIver. Nascar races. And, attending Car shows with his buddy Bill Donnelly.
We are sincerely grateful to the wonderful staff of Bayada Health and Hospice. As well as, Our many Great family friends, neighbors.
And all who comforted and cared for him in his final days.
