FAIRLEE - Cynthia Ethel Page Piper passed away in her Fairlee, Vermont home on March 25, 2025 where she was a resident for over 45 years. She was born on December 4, 1954 in Springfield, Vermont to Ethel J Stewart Page and Philip Parker Page.
Cindi was raised in Chester Depot, Vermont and graduated from Green Mountain Union High School in 1972. She played four years of varsity field hockey and softball. She went on to graduate from Thompson School of Nursing. She and her then boyfriend David went on a trip around the United States seeing different national treasures. They married on July 14, 1979 and settled in Fairlee, Vermont.
Cindi was first in social services at Hanover Terrace Healthcare. Then a nurse at Mary Hitchcock, which she left to be a stay-at-home mother until her boys went to school. She then got a job as the Town of Fairlee's Administrative Assistant as well as doing Daves' Plumbing business office work, which she ended up doing full-time. She finished her career with working at DHMC in palliative care, ENT, and then at Hannaford's where she got her pharmacy tech license and worked various jobs.
Cindi loved her family, being a mom and grandmother, her pet companions, vacations to South Thomaston Maine, her flower gardens, upholstery and sewing, watching racing, scrapbooking, bead working, and yearly trips to flower shows. She always talked about how much she loved talking with the elderly, valuing the knowledge and the stories of what had been forgotten, and taking on the role of family historian. Cindi was always willing to help others whether the need was minuscule or lifesaving.
She is survived by her husband David; sons Matthew (Jennifer) and Brian (Jessica); grandsons Parker, Beckett, Hayden, Trenton; siblings Patricia Page Jarvie, John Page, and James (Cathy) Page; nieces and nephews Trish Jarvie Creel, Jeff (Kathy) Page, Leslie Page Carpenter, Bill (Beth) Page, Stephanie Page Cornell, and Thomas Jarvie; and a host of other family members.
