David C. Kenyon

BRADFORD-David Charles Kenyon passed away June 10th 2023, with his wife by his side, shortly before his 87th birthday. He was born June 29th, 1936. The son of Fannie Hood Kenyon and Charles Kenyon.
He graduated from Bradford Academy in 1954 and enlisted in the Navy. He was very proud of serving his country on the largest carrier, the Midway during the Korean War.
He married Florence Grapes in 1957. Together they had 4 children. He later married Rita (Burroughs) Thurston June 9th, 1989.
He was a member for over 50 years with the Masons. He also was a member of the American Legion and the Methodist Church.
He was a very positive and caring person. Even following a massive stroke in 2001 he remained positive and always thoughtful, thanking us for everything we did.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Wayne.
He leaves behind his wife, Rita, his four children , David Kenyon, (Bonnie), Deborah McGoff, Michael Kenyon, and Mark Kenyon (Rita). Two step children Christina Thurston and Nicholas Thurston (Cathy). Ten grandchildren Jonathan McGoff, Ashley Clough (Shawn) Katie Parent (Kyle) and Casey McGoff, Desiree Blanchard (Pete), Amanda Kenyon (Jason), Tonya Salomaa (Bobby Jamison), Michael Kenyon, Jessica Kenyon (Jason Kennison) and Julie Aldrich (Jason). He had 4 Step grandsons, Ryan, Tyler, Aaron and Connor Thurston. 17 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Plus some special children he loved. He also leaves behind many care providers that provided care, we couldn’t have done it without them.
Funeral will be June 26th at the united Methodist Church in Bradford at 11 am with reception to follow at the Mason Hall on rt 25.
