West Newbury, VT- David Sherman Parker, 81, of West Newbury, VT died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hanover Healthcare Terrace in Hanover, NH surrounded by his family. He was born in Spencer, MA on February 5, 1931 the son of Kenneth and Amy Elizabeth (Warren) Parker. He attended schools in Spencer and was a 1948 graduate of Pountory High School in Spencer and then attended college for two years. He was married to Anne Pigeon in 1987 who survives. Mr. Parker enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and after his service to his country he was honorable discharge. He was employed as a teacher, preacher, baker, was a councilor for a few years, worked for Colitina Exit, Maska and Bradford Veneer and Panel of Bradford, VT. He is survived by two daughters, April Heath and husband Frank of South Burlington, VT and Joi Manley and husband Seth of Colchester, VT ; two foster children, Keith Wade and wife Colleen of Florida and Kelly Baade of Orford, NH; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; one sister Eileen Frahay and husband Buddy of East Brookfield, MA.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was predeceased by one brother. A celebration of David's life and burial will be held at a later date.
