David A. Plante

David A. Plante, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Bradford, Vermont on October 8, 2022. He was born in Manchester, NH on April 28, 1959 to Robert and Madeline Plante. David moved with his family to Bradford in 1976 after living in Bedford, NH since his birth. He graduated from Oxbow High School and moved to Florida for a couple of years. After returning to Bradford, he went on to have a successful career as a self-employed builder. From a young age, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. David always had a large garden from which he received much enjoyment. He was married to the former Erika Martin in 1990 and they later divorced. From that union, 3 wonderful children were born that he was so proud of, Zachary D. Plante (Briana), Cody M. Plante and Jordyn M. Norcross (Michael )who survive him along with his grandchildren, Trent Norcross, Hayden Norcross and Bodhi Plante. He is also survived by his mother, Madeline Plante and his siblings, Muriel LaCourse of Manchester, NH, Paul Plante of Newbury, VT, Michael Plante of Corinth, Vt, Anne-Marie Whiteway of Bradford, Vt and Louise Maher (Buddy) of Courtland, NY along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Plante Jr. on 3/19/22 and his close friend, Vinny Wright on October 9, 2020. David was a very caring person and he never quite recovered from the loss of these special people in his life. A private celebration of life will be held for family at a later date.
