David Wark, 68, of West Topsham, Vermont passed peacefully at his home on December 4, 2022.
David grew up with his parents, David and Joyce Wark and his three siblings: Judy, Penny, and Brady in a beautiful farmhouse on South Rd. in Bradford, Vermont. Hunting, fishing, and family gatherings were a mainstay for the Wark family.
David enjoyed teaching his son Jason how to ski, skate, ride horses, hunt, and fish. David’s biggest passion was music. He often brought friends and family along to see concerts with him. His love for Native American beliefs, spiritual practices and heritage were another passion that inspired him and his mom to travel to the Four Corners several times.
David’s working career was in building construction – first as a foreman at many large buildings and later went on to open his own business, Warwick Construction.
David shared his love of life with all he held near and dear to his heart and expressed his love by giving gifts. In addition to friends and family, David regularly gave gifts to the ASPCA, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, and various foundations supporting Native American heritage and life.
David is survived by his life-long friend and partner Candy Potrzeba, their son Jason, his siblings Judy, Penny, and Brady as well as by five grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends he thought of as family.
The family would like to particularly thank the staff of Visiting Nurse and Hospice of VT/NH for the excellent care they provided to David; particularly Katie Field, Heather Grob, Hayley Kinney, Gracia Rogers, Cristine Maloney, Anna Claire, and Kat Goodwin. Special thanks are also extended to Jim Canas and Bucko and Rose Jackman for their love and support.
A memorial service for David will be celebrated Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 12 Noon at Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, Vermont by Most Reverend André Marie, OSP.
