Dean L Thorburn

North Haverhill, NH Dean L. Thorburn of Dartmouth College Highway died unexpectedly Thursday evening, July 22, 2010 from a reaction to bee stings. He was 70 years old. Born on March 8, 1940, he was the son of James L. & Verna (Dennis) Thorburn. He attended North Haverhill primary schools and was a 1958 graduate of Bradford Academy in Bradford, VT. A lifelong resident of North Haverhill, he was a longtime dairy farmer. For the past two years, he worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart in Woodsville, NH. He enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, fishing and visiting with others. Over the years, he was involved with various farming organizations, was a member of the Gideon Society, and was a lifelong member of the North Haverhill Methodist Church. He leaves his wife Carolyn J. Thorburn of North Haverhill, NH Two daughters Darlene Goodrich of Northfield, VT and Rhonda Phillips of New York. A son: Daryll Thorburn of Orlando, FL. Two step-daughters: Heather Wagner of Moretown and Sandra Berube of Wilder, VT. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren Two sisters: Sharon Emerson of North Haverhill, NH Brenda Amnott of Pike, NH A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, July 28, at the North Haverhill United Methodist Church.
