Canaan, NH- Donald Harry French,66, of Canaan, NH and a former resident of Thetford Center, VT died Wednesday, September22, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Thetford, VT the son of Erni and Agnes (Pero) French. He attended schools in Thetford. He had been employed as a logger and farmer in Thetford, VT and the surrounding areas for many years. For the past seven years he has been living with his son Thomas in Canaan. Donald enjoyed racing, cutting meat, family and just spending time in the out of doors. He is survived by two sons, Thomas French and his companion, Laura of Canaan, NH and Keith French of Springfield, VT.; three granddaughters, Sierra, Ashley and Cassandra; one grandson, Isaac; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Roland French of Vershire, VT.; three sisters, Beverly Johnson of Sterling, CT., Belua Burns of Meriden, NH and Linda French of Springfield, VT., many nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on October 2, 2010 from 10-5 pm at Tom French's home at 12 Ballpark Road in Canaan, NH.
