Douglas S Piper

Douglas S. Piper, 62, of Barker Road died Friday, October 25, 2019.He was born December 25, 1956 in Hanover, NH the son of Herman Piper and Nancy (Banker) Piper. After his schooling, Doug became a self-employed plumber. On April 13, 1974 he married Sheila Barker in Fairlee, VT.Doug was a devoted father and grandfather, who lived life his way. He loved his family and friends, and loved deer hunting and everything outdoors. He was an exceptional outdoorsman who looked forward to every fall season as it was his favorite time of year. He also enjoyed ginseng hunting, fishing, yard sales, playing cards, and bartering. He had a one-of-a-kind humor and will be greatly missed by everyone.Survivors include his wife, Sheila Piper of Post Mills, VT, two sons, Michael (Jenney) Piper, and Arty (Stephanie) Piper, both of Post Mills, three grandchildren, Dillon, Ryan and Brooke, a brother, David Piper of Fairlee, VT and a sister, Donna (Piper) Uline of Fairlee, VT. He was predeceased by one sister, Debbie (Piper) Rosene.Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT.
