Hanover, NH. Eleanor F. Donnelly/Heath, a resident of Kendal in Hanover since 1997, died March 6. She was born on August 10, 1921, in Boston, MA, the daughter of Charles and Kathryn (Flanders) Flemming. She attended schools in Southborough, MA, and was a 1939 graduate of Southborough High School. In 1941, she graduated as a medical secretary from Lasell Junior College in Auburndale, MA, and for several years, was employed in the medical department at John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. On June 19, 1943, she married Paul R. Donnelly in Southborough, MA. In 1949, the family moved to Bradford, VT, where she raised her family and assisted her husband with his accounting business. After Mr. Donnelly died in 1978, she married Robert Heath. Mrs. Donnelly/Heath was a member of the United Church of Christ in Bradford where she taught Sunday school, served as president of the Women's Fellowship, and was a long-time member of the choir. She was particularly active in the Girl Scouts where she served as a leader and a trainer. She also was a member of the board of directors of the Swiftwater Girl Scout Council. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Pickens of Arlington, VA (and her husband, Sam), and Susan Donnelly of West Lebanon, NH; a son, Paul R. Donnelly of Rochester, NY (and his wife, Ingrid Stanlis); a granddaughter, Jacqueline Bruleigh of West Lebanon, NH; a sister, Helen Barnes of Hanover, NH; and four nephews. Burial will be in the Upper Plain Cemetery in Bradford, VT. There are no calling hours.
