Woodsville, NH- Eleanor Davis Trevithick, 96, of Woodsville passed away quietly on February 21, 2015 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. She was born on May 22, 1918 the daughter of long-time Piermont residents Floyd and Ida Davis. She grew on the River Road in Piermont, NH (the place now known as Never Done Farm) with her siblings Ellis, Eric, and Irene, and graduated from Piermont Grammar School, Bradford Academy and Concord Business College. In 1947, she married Kenneth Trevithick and they had one son, Robert: both predeceased her. Her husband's job took them to New York, but as soon as Ken retired they returned to Piermont where they built a new home on River Road next to her Mother's home. At the end she resided with her sister in Piermont, NH and was really thrilled to get the Boston Post Cane as the oldest resident in Town. She like to write and in addition to numerous poems, she also wrote short stories. She was the author of four books, the last one still in the publisher's hands. She is dearly remembered as a gentle person with a huge strength in the face of life's adversities. She is survived by her sister and friend, Irene Davis Holoway of Piermont; sister-in-law Fannie Mae Davis of Woodsville, NH; nephew Charles Davis of Easton, MA; niece Patricia Davis of West Groton, MA.; nephew Stanley Davis of Woodsville, NH nephew Kurt Davis of North Haverhill, NH, nephew Jeffery Davis of Newbury, VT, niece Victoria Davis of Wilder, VT and daughter-in-law, Vivian B. Trevithick of Williamsburg, NY. Interment will be held in the spring in the family lot in the South lawn Cemetery in Piermont, NH.
