Ellen L. Blowey

West Newbury, VT- Ellen L. Blowey, 85, of West Newbury died peacefully at her home on September 24, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born September 18, 1929 in Westford, MA the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Morton) Stone. Ellen worked at Fort Deven in Ayer, MA., and then moved to West Newbury, VT in 1986 where worked in the kitchen at Brookside Nursing Home in Bradford, VT., and also had volunteered at Orford Senior Center years ago. Her pastimes included crocheting, embroidering and she loved to read Danielle Steel and Nora Robert books. She loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her five children, Linda Bedinger of Massachusetts, Donna Lally and husband Thomas of Newbury, VT., Karen Blowey and fiancAC. Ken of Massachusetts., Kenneth Blowey of West Newbury, VT., Steven Blowey and wife Kim of Haverhill, NH., daughter in law, Joan Blowey of Massachusetta and sister in law, Theo Blowey of Landaff, NH; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Blowey, son Joseph Blowey, son-in-law Douglas Bedinger and brother, Bill Stone. No services will be held per her request.
