Frank Edward Thurston Jr

Frank Thurston Jr., 46, of Vershire, VT passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday February 24, 2015. He was born January 26, 1969 in Hanover, NH, the son of Frank Thurston Sr. and Mary (Daniels) Thurston. He grew up in Post Mills, VT and went to Thetford Elementary and Thetford Academy. He married Sheri Sweet of West Fairlee, VT on May 12, 1990 in West Fairlee. They soon made their home and raised three loving daughters Kara, Megan and Taylor in Vershire, VT. Frank worked with his best friend Dana Cloud whom taught him the masonry business. Frank was an avid hunter having the NH state record Boone and Crocket Deer. Frank also enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, racing which he won a street division at Bear Ridge Speedway and he was a definite Jeff Gordan fan. But above all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father in which he cherished his three girls. Other times he loved being on the golf course and spending time with his buddies. He was survived by his wife Sheri Thurston of 24 years and three daughters Kara Thurston, Megan Thurston and Taylor Thurston all of Vershire, VT. Services of a celebration of his life will be held Saturday February 28th at 1:00 pm at the Hartford Elks Club in Hartford, VT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to help defer costs of services. The Hale Funeral Homes and Cremation Care of Bradford and Thetford Center, VT are in charge of arrangements.
