TOPSHAM- Freeman H. Tuttle Jr, 72, of Topsham passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 20, 2023 at his home. Freeman was born on November 14, 1950 in Woodsville N.H. He was the son of Freeman H. Tuttle Sr and Blanch (Day) Tuttle.
On May 14, 1985, Freeman married Anah Race at their home. They first lived in Bradford before settling in Topsham Vermont.
Freeman’s passion in his life was his family. Spending time with his grandchildren was very important to him and he cherished their time together. He loved to go four wheeling and kept pride in keeping his lawn looking good. He and Anah went on many bus trips to different cities throughout the United States. Freeman was considered a prankster by his family. He enjoyed a good laugh. He was an animal lover and was very attached to his cat “Midnight”.
Besides his loving wife Anah, Freeman leaves behind his sons, Wendell Rollins and his partner Terri Weston of Sharon Vt, David R. Stearns and his partner Katherine of Newbury Vt, Raymond A. Stearns and Wife Tiffany of Orford NH, Daughter, Peggie S. Roberts and Husband Kevin A. Williams of South Royalton. Freeman leaves behind twelve Grandchildren and three Step- Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren with one on the way. He leaves behind his Brother–in-law William Race and his wife Tina of Vershire Vt. Sister-in-law Deborah Sanborn of Omala NE. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins. His Brother/best friend Jessie Cray of West Fairlee Center Vt. He leaves behind special close friends the Cray’s and the Stygles.
He was predeceased by a brother Clair Tuttle, nephews Peter and Jeremy Tuttle and Brother-in-law Robert Race and Sister-in-law Lillian Race.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
