Obituary for Helen Piersa March 24, 1917- August 14, 2013 Beloved wife of Victor, mother of Kris Sayers and son-in-law, Michael, of Avon, CT, Irene Fradette and son-in-law, Mike, of Gainesville, VA, Len Piersa, and daughter-in-law, Sue, of Clearwater, FL. Babci of Kristin and Paul Raia of Southington, CT, Skip and Becki Oulundsen of Plantsville, CT, Aimee Rop of Haymarket, VA, and Michael Fradette of Roanoke, VA and their children, Sam, Paul, and Kyle Raia, Marina Oulundsen, Adam and Connor Rop, and Lauren, and Ben Fradette. Helen and Victor retired to Corinth, VT in 1983. Helen was an active member of the Riverside Grange for many years and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bradford, VT. Helen loved her family dearly as well as her friends, and neighbors. She was an avid homemaker who thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and gardening. She moved recently with Victor to St. Lucian's Residence in New Britain, CT, where once again she was loved by the resident Nuns and staff there. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched with her endearing kindness. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 19th at 11:00am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 113 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT 05033. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT is in charge of arrangements.
