She also is survived by 2 great grandchildren Addison Maxham, Malik Tatro, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Janet was a mother too many with her doors always open for those in need. She spent most of her working career in hospitality at Lake Morey Inn Fairlee, VT and The Residence Inn Lebanon, NH bringing smiles to all who she was around. When she had time alone from not working, watching her grandchildren or the many other children she would take care of, she enjoyed putting puzzles together, doing crossword puzzles and word searches. In her earlier years she could be found also watching Soap Operas, dancing at the 111 Club, playing bingo at the Bradford Fire Station, attending yard sales, and having friends over for card games and horseshoes.

As a young adult she could be found Polka dancing with her sister Diane, often getting into trouble with her younger brother David, bragging about her brother Richard and his military service, or being a roommate with her eldest brother Donald. Throughout the years she ensured her children and grandchildren never went without. She taught them all important life lessons such as work hard for what you want, never give up trying, it’s ok to fail, and always be there for family and friends. As a mother to her children as they were growing up, she could be found being a child herself with them sledding, dancing, and ensuring their days were as happy as could be. As her children grew into adulthood, she could be found giving advice as needed and even when they may not have thought it was needed. Her biggest achievement in life for her was knowing that even though they faced obstacles throughout the years with her guidance and advice they had grown into successful adults invoking upon their children Janet’s wise words of wisdom.

Her children would like to give special thanks to Dartmouth’s Cardiac ICU and a very special thanks to Nurse Rachel.
