Jean B Shepard

April 11, 1940 — March 7, 2017

Jean B. (Peavey) Shepard of Hanover NH passed away March 7, 2017 at 2:40 am Jean left this world peacefully with her three children at her bedside. She was born in Newbury, VT on April 11, 1940. The daughter of James M. Peavey and Pearl Emily (Green) Peavey. Jean was pre-deceased by both parents, all ten of her siblings Reginald Peavey, Al Peavey, Robert Maclain, Jim Peavey, Delbert Peavey, June Beliveau, Gilbert Peavey, Joanne Wheeler, Larry Peavey, Joyce Langlois, and two grandchildren Micheal J. Dyke and Nathaniel J. Dyke.She is survived by her children, Curt Shepard and wife Caryn of Lyme, NH; Cara Dyke and husband Dan of Orford, NH; and Amy Fahey and husband Cliff of Orford, NH. Grandchildren, Keegan Dyke, Jordyn Dyke, Emily Shepard, Kodiak Shepard, Mason Fahey, Boone Fahey and Marin Fahey as well as many nieces and nephews. After graduating Newbury Village High School, she took the train at the age of 18 to concord NH and completed hair design school, she then worked her entire life making people more beautiful. She also helped her Quadriplegic brother Gil with his taxi business Dartmouth Cab by doing his books and driving cabs as a teenager at night when he needed a driver. She once drove Trumpeter Louis Armstrong from the Hanover Inn to the bus station who told her to "Keep the change Doll". Our mother lived a valuable life and was always helping members of her family, extended family and friends. She was a strong and giving mother and friend, she will forever be missed.A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
