Jeanine Lucille Clark, 72 of Bradford, Vermont born March 11, 1942 in Kingston, New York to Edith Stokes and Harold Schoonmaker died on June 24, 2014 at Cottage Hospital in Woodville, New Hampshire. Jeanine grew up in New York, and then lived in Maine, Connecticut, before settling in Vermont. In central Vermont is where she raised her five children who survive her. Her son John Lumsden and wife Robin of Highgate Center, son Matthew Lumsden of Essex Junction, son Joseph Lumsden of Bennington, daughter Jennifer Devenger and her husband Bruce of Hardwick and son Allan Lumsden and wife Laura of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Jeanine has eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Jeanine was predeceased this winter by her husband George Clark. Jeanine also leaves behind a dear friend Newton Camp. Jeanine was a stay at home mom who enjoyed cooking... especially her hot apple pies. Jeanine was also a housekeeper in Stowe, a crossing guard in Montpelier and a care giver for the elderly in Central Vermont. Jeanine enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers and her four legged friends whether they were hers or the neighborhoods. Her favorite place to visit was Old Orchard Beach, Maine. There will be a private graveside service on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 at the Robinson cemetery in East Calais, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Humane Society.
