John W. Hathaway, Jr. of Bradford, VT died unexpectedly on August 22, 2023.
He is predeceased by his sister Abigail L. Hathaway, his brother Alan Pudims, maternal grandparents Albert Siewertsen and Judith Jones, Paternal grandfather Francis Hathaway, maternal aunts and uncle Danny Siewertsen, Christine Ricker, Amy Gilley, paternal uncle Francis Hathaway, Jr. He leaves behind his daughter Faith Hathaway and stepdaughter Harmony Crowson, his mother Lynn Hathaway, father John W. Hathaway, Sr., and his wife Maria Hathaway, paternal grandmother Vivian and Joe Bennet, his siblings: Arthur Pudims, Matthew Hathaway, Zachary Hathaway, Gabriel Hathaway, Morgan Covey, Luke Hathaway, Jamie Pudims, Jesse Hathaway, Nathan Hathaway, and Ian Hathaway and all of their significant others. John also leaves behind Aunts, Uncles, and over 30 nieces and nephews
that adored him.
John loved life! He enjoyed playing with his daughter and all of his
nieces and nephews, especially “kick the can” a family favorite.
Johnny grew up in Corinth, VT, he attended WRVS where he played
baseball for the Corinth Topsham team. He learned to ski at Northeast
Slopes and loved it; he later picked up snowboarding and skied/boarded
many of the VT and NH mountains.
John attended Oxbow High School then went on to become a licensed
Heating Technician. He worked for Perry Oil for many years and was
currently employed at Copeland Furniture as a Maintenance Technician.
John loved music, movies, Xbox but most of all his daughter Faith and
his family. John’s big heart drew people to him and all who knew him
loved him. He was a friend to everyone he met. His loss will be felt by
many.
A Celebration of Life will be held for John at Bradford Fire Station on September 23, 2023. We will begin at noon with a blessing by Pastor Aaron Grefer and we will be welcoming everyone that loved John until around 3:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.
