Joseph Sarazin

Corinth, VT- Joseph Aime Sarazin, 80, of Corinth, VT died on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin, VT. He was born on June 19, 1930 in Barre, VT the son of Aime and Helen (Spink) Sarazin. He attended schools in Barre and Corinth, VT. He was married on December 31, 1949 to Betty Merrifield who survives. They have been married for sixty-nine years. In his early years he was employed at Whiting Creamery in Bradford and Jerseyland Dairy in Chelsea, VT, he also worked in the copper mines in Strafford. He then was employed for Joe Edwards Sales and Service installing milking machine equipment and then purchased that business from Mr. Edwards and ran that for seven years. He then went to work for Johnson Lumber Company until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, auctions, house pulling at the fairs and many family gatherings. He is survived by his wife Betty, three daughters, Connie, Sandy and Tammy; two sons, Allen and David; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Sarazin of Colebrook, NH. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Maurice and two sisters, Loretta and Lorraine. It was Mr. Sarasin's request that there be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory be made to the America Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
