Juanita Grace French of Bradford, VT died on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at DHMC. Juanita was born on August 1st, 1928 in Brownington, VT, a daughter of Roger and Mary (Joslyn) Maxwell. She attended schools in Brownington and Derby, VT. She moved to the Bradford area in the mid-fifties where she retired after 40 years at New England Industries. Juanita spent her retirement years enjoying activities with her family and friends; sporting events, school plays, fair showings, church suppers and more. On weekends, you could find her supporting the Red Socks and Tiger Woods, win or lose! She was also an active member of the Bradford American Legion Post No. 20, the Eight and Forty Club and Woodsville Thrushes Bowling League. She was predeceased by her brothers Charlie, Darrell, Lawrence, Dale and Alton Maxwell. Survivors include her children Larry French of Bradford, VT., Martha (Dolly) Dessert Bird of Lebanon, N.H. And Brenda Musty of Fairlee, VT.; her brothers Carl (Joe) and Maurice Maxwell; her sisters Lodoiska Kingsbury, Barbara Jean Maxwell and Judy Bupp. She also has eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Calling hours will be held at Hales Funeral Home on Friday (10/12/12) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Grace Methodist Church on Saturday (10/13/12) at 11:00 AM with Richard Whitehill and Barbara Jean Maxwell presenting . Burial services will follow at Sawyer Cemetery.
