Judith M. Eastman

March 10, 1969 — February 17, 2024

CORINTH - Judith Marie Eastman Sylvester (Judy), 54, of Corinth, VT, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Judy attended school at the Vermont Achievement Center in Rutland, VT where she participated in the Special Olympics and was also chosen as an Easter Seals child. She also went to Thetford Elementary School in Thetford, VT and graduated from Oxbow High School in Bradford, VT.
Although Judy spent her entire life with cerebral palsy, she was always looking for a way to help someone else. She loved playing card games and doing any kind of arts and crafts, from finger painting to knitting. She also completed a blanket for her ‘dad’ the night before she passed.
Judy spent the last 20+ years being so loved and cared for at The Blue Spruce Home for the retired. When they closed, Sharon and Stewart (who Judy referred to as “mom and dad”) moved her into their own home.
Judy was loved by so many, and over the past 20+ years her family grew tremendously when she joined Blue Spruce.
Judy is survived by her brother Fred Jr. and his partner Jennifer Dunham of Vershire, VT, her “mom and dad” Sharon and Stewart Sylvester of Corinth, VT, her “sister” Cassandra and husband Larry Jr. of West Fairlee, VT, her “brothers” Bub and wife Tonya of West Topsham, VT, Cameron and wife Rachel of Newbury, VT, and “sister” Sherry and husband Rob of East Corinth, VT, many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She is predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, her biological parents, Fred and Polly Eastman, and her brother Scott.
Judy will be missed dearly. In her memory, contributions can be made to the West Fairlee Congregational Church.
There will be a celebration of life for Judy held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain in Bradford. Those wishing to send online condolences may do so at www.halefuneralhomes.com
