Kevin Olin Graton, 67, of West Newbury, Vermont, passed peacefully at home on September 1, 2026, surrounded by loving friends and family. A beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend, Kevin was born on December 11, 1958 in Buffalo, New York, and spent much of his early life on the road.

Making his way to Tucker Mountain with little more than what he could carry, he fell in love with the land and village he called his sanctuary.

Kevin was a valued carpenter, groundskeeper, home mechanic, e-sports racer, and a steady source of wisdom for those who found their way to his doorstep.

A man of science and mechanical aptitude, he was forever captivated by the stars and the ships that bring us there. Kevin's heart was forever rooted in the mountains he called home, where he found peace in green grass, good coffee, and the company of those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dawn "Doodles" Graton Bessette, mother Ann Elizabeth Bridge, father Waldo Hathaway Graton, and beloved soulmate Susan Dianne Whitcher Graton.

Kevin was a father to Brandon Graton, Clinton Graton, Georgia (MacDougall) Hadley, and Emily Rose Graton.

Kevin ("Poppy") also leaves beloved grandchildren Dakota Hadley, Liam Hadley, and Isabella Fraser.

Following their own wishes, Kevin's ashes will be joined in union with Susan's and laid to rest after a private service in the West Newbury Cemetery.

There are no public services planned at this time.
