Leah Hazel Hansen

Leah was born on May 5, 1930 in Irasburg, VT, the daughter of the late Don W. Whipple and Zetta (Armstrong) Whipple. Leah was a 1948 graduate of BFA, St Albans, VT. Leah & Ken lived in Newington, CT & Granby, CT for 33 years prior to retiring to Piermont, NH where they lived for the next 16 years. Besides her husband, Leah is survived by 3 children - Brenda Z. Taylor (Charles) of Enfield, CT, Eric K.T. Hansen (Melanie) of Sutton, VT and Kren H. Hansen (John) of Buels Gore, VT. Leah also leaves 7 grandchildren: Janna, Zetta, Jorgen, Inger, Joshua, Harmony & Adeline, and 6 great-grandchildren: Logan, Dallas, Drew, Simon, Peyton, Kingsley, Caiden & Madison. Leah is survived by her sister, Donna Krupp of Swanton, VT. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Simino, of Burlington, VT and brother, Ross Whipple, of Newport, VT. A private family memorial service will be held on May 5 (Leah's birthday) at the gravesite in Newport Center, VT. Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, VT is handling all of the arrangements.
