Leo W O'Donnell Jr

Bradford, VT- Leo W. "Skip" O'Donnell Jr., 53, of South Road in Bradford, VT passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Hanover, NH on February 3, 1958 the son of Leo and Lila (Covey) O'Donnell. He attended schools in Corinth and was a graduate of Oxbow High School class of 1976. He was first employed for Hayward Transportation; he then worked for Miller Ready-mix Concrete and for the past twelve years had worked for Carroll Concrete in Bradford, VT as the Plant Manager and as a cement truck driver. Skip enjoyed spending time with his wife, two daughters and his special granddaughter. He was an avid race fan and also a pit crew member of his nephew, Derrick O'Donnell's # 68 race car at Thunder Road in Barre, VT. He loved his time outdoors and his garage. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Peggy O'Donnell of Bradford, VT; two daughters, Kelley O'Donnell and her companion Josh Ackerman of Newbury, VT. and Melinda Boutin and her husband Dan of Pike, NH; one granddaughter, Aliza Boutin of Pike, NH.; his parents, Leo and Lila O'Donnell Sr. of Bradford, VT.; one brother, Cris O'Donnell and his wife Cheryl of Bradford, VT; four sisters, Rebecca Brocar and her husband Mark of Bradford, VT., Sylvia Sweet and her husband Bob of Bradford, VT., Lisa Spencer and her husband Jim of Orange, VT and Karen O'Donnell of Lebanon, NH., and many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Skip's life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2 pm in the Bradford Academy Building, Bradford, VT. with the Paster Elizabeth J.A. Siwo-Okundi from Wells River Congregational Church UCC, officating. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at a later date.
