Margaret T. Tonnessen

Woodsville, NH- Margaret T. Tonnessen, 49, of Woodsville died on May 7, 2011 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born on June 15, 1961 in Lynn, MA the daughter of George and Joanne (Enos) Barrett. She attended schools in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School in Melrose. MA, she then attended Newbury Art and Design and also Bunkerhill Community College. She was married to Arne Tonnessen in Melrose, MA in 1984. She lived in Saugus, MA before moving to Woodsville, NH in 1991. She was employed for P&H Truckstop as a cook in Wellsriver, VT for a number of years, and for the past fifteen years she had been a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and has won the Wellsriver-Woodsville Chili Cook-off every year since it has started. She is survived by her husband Arne Tonnessen of Woodsville, NH.; one daughter, Diane Tonnessen of Woodsville, NH; her father, George Barrett of Melrose, MA; three brothers, Robert and Kevin Uzdavinis both of Salem, MA and Michael Barrett of Melrose, MA; two sisters, Donna Petti of Tewksbury, MA and Diane Barrett of Woburn, MA A graveside service will be held on May 17, 2011 at 9 am in the family lot in the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, MA.
